The standards of identity were established in under the provisions of the Federal Alcohol Administration Act of 1935. Amendments to that act have been being made ever since. This iteration in 1939 shows several changes that had been made, one of which is the alteration of corn whiskey needing to be 80% corn content. The changes that were made are marked throughout.
